Gambia Birdwatching Trip

Discover the wonderful birdlife of Gambia during this special 9-day birdwatching trip. Together with our experienced local bird guide, we visit a variety of bird-rich areas along the coast and inland.

We visit places including Tanji Bird Reserve, Madiyana Waterways, Brufut Woods, Kotu Creeks, Abuko and Farasuto. A boat trip and a river expedition are also part of the programme.

There is plenty of opportunity to watch and photograph birds, but of course there is also time to enjoy the surroundings, nature and everyday life in Gambia.

Gambia Experience

Spend the Christmas holidays in the sunshine, while it is cold and dark in the Netherlands. A relaxed group trip where you get to experience different sides of Gambia. We stay at Franco Inn in Tanji and from there discover the country, its nature, culture and everyday life.

During this trip, we arrange accommodation, meals, transport, excursions and entrance fees. You are accompanied by our team and we take you to a variety of special places in Gambia.

There is plenty of room for excursions, encounters and activities, but also for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. This way, you experience Gambia in a personal way and have the opportunity to see more than just the tourist areas.

Group Trips and Experience Trips

Every year, we organise special group trips and experience trips to Gambia on request. For families, groups of friends, associations and other groups, as well as schools and educational programmes.

For students, we tailor the trip around their course and interests. For example, students studying Health & Social Care can learn about healthcare in Gambia and get a behind-the-scenes look at the local healthcare system. If they are interested, students can also contribute to one of our local projects.

We can also create programmes for courses in education, social work, sports or other fields, tailored to the course and its objectives. Through encounters, excursions and experiences in Gambia, students gain a different perspective on their field of study and on everyday life in Gambia.

Together, we look at the course, the interests of the group and what is possible. In this way we create a trip that is not only special, but also genuinely adds value to the students and their education.
